10 held with fake currencies

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Detectives arrested 10 people with BDT 105 million fake currencies and currency-making equipment from Demra and Kamrangirchar on the outskirts of the capital early Sunday.

A senior police official said that they launched the drive from 1 pm to 11 pm on Saturday and arrested them along with the fake notes.

The currencies are in Bangladeshi taka and Indian Rupees, he added.
