Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has formed a 10-member stock market surveillance committee to work for stabilising the volatile stock market, DSE President Rakibur Rahman disclosed this Tuesday at a press briefing.
The committee was formed at a scheduled meeting with the representatives of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB) and Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA) attended the meeting held Monday at the DSE board room.
The committee headed by Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, president of FBCCI. The other members of the committee are: Sheikh Kabir Hossain, president of Bangladesh Insurance Association (BIA), Ahsanul Islam Titu, vice president of BIA, Tapan Chowdhury, President of Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC), Md Nazrul Islam Mazumder, president of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB), Mohammed Nurul Amin, chairman of Association of Bankers, Bangladesh (ABB), Mohammad Fayekuzzaman, managing director of the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh (ICB), Mohammad A Hafiz, president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA), Breg Gen Oakeruzzaman and DSE president Rakibur Rahman is coordinator and spoke person of the committee.
