Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Investors will get margin loan facilities from merchant banks and stockbrokers for purchasing shares of 133 companies this week, according to the Dhaka Stock Exchange calculation, released on Thursday.
Around 260 companies are listed with the bourse but the 133 companies will remain marginable for this week.
The marginable securities include 27 commercial banks, 26 mutual funds, 17 financial institutions, 20 insurance companies and telecom issue Grameenphone, according to reports.
The DSE publishes the list of marginable securities in every Thursday of the week, following the net asset value-based margin calculation system as per the Securities and Exchange Commission directives.
In case of mutual funds, the DSE calculates margin maintenance figure based on the latest disclosed net asset value at market price of a mutual fund and the closing price of the fund at the end of the week.
