Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-One hundred and thirty six more Bangladeshi nationals including five women and five children have returned Dhaka from war-torn Yemen.
A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, BG-1011, carrying the Bangladeshi nationals touched the ground at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 8:00pm Tuesday, said a press statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.
They were evacuated from Hodeida of Yemen by an Indian Naval Ship, INS-Sumitra.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh arranged their food and other logistics during their seven days stay in Djibouti.
The Djibouti government provided temporary accommodation for the Bangladeshis during their stay in Djibouti.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam, MP, received the Bangladeshis at the airport with flowers.
Additional Foreign Secretary Mizanur Rahman, director general (Consular & Welfare) and director general (External Publicity) were also present at the airport at that time.
Another group of 29 Bangladeshis who were evacuated from Saana on April 19 by IOM chartered aircraft to Addis Ababa also reached Dhaka Tuesday.
A Jet Airways flight reached the airport at 12:15pm from Mumbai of India.
They were also cordially received at the airport by the foreign ministry officials.
