Kathmandu, Nepal (BBN)– At least 16 people have been feared dead as a local company’s plan carrying 21 people on board crashed in the country’s northern Mustang district Monday morning.
The Agni Airline, carrying 18 passengers and three crew members crashed at 9:30 am (local time), while trying to land at the Jomsom Airport, according to reports.
The Jomsom Airport is a gateway to a popular tourist and trekking destination. It is about 200 kilometers northwest of the capital.
Five passengers including two children, two foreigners and an air hostess have been rescued, police said.
