Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Two persons including a school teacher died in panic and nearly 150 were injured in different parts of Bangladesh during a strong earthquake.
A strong earthquake measuring 7.5 on the Richter Scale jolted different parts of Bangladesh Saturday afternoon.
Later, two aftershocks at the strengths of 6.6 and 5.1 were also felt, reports the USGS.
A women school teacher died when panic gripped her during the earthquake in Pabna, reports Channel 24, a private television channel of Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, another person died in Dhaka in panic during the temblor, the television channel reports.
Different television channels reports said: Reports of minor injuries and building damage were come from Dhaka, Savar, Khulna, Brahmanbaria, Kushtia, Mymensingh, Comilla, Chandpur and Rajshahi.
Nearly 50 garments workers from different garments factories were injured when they rushed into stairways to make their way out in panic.
Ten people were injured when the rooftop of a primary school caved-in in Dhobayura of Mymensingh during the quake.
Ten more people were injured when everybody were trying to came out their factory in a hurry in Comilla EPZ area.
Eight people sustained injuries while panic seized the students of Rajshahi Womens’ College and they were trying to come out of the college building in hurry.
Meanwhile, 60 more people were injured in the same types of incidents in Brahmanbaria, Kushtia and Sunamganj.

Buildings were damaged in the Shankharibazar and Bangabazar of the capital Dhaka.
A two-storey building was tilted in Barabazar area of Khulan.
A building was tilted and another developed cracks in Chandpur.
