2 killed in Bangladesh road crash

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Two passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed and its driver was injured when a bus hit the vehicle in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, early Thursday.

The accident took place around 3:40am when a bus of Econo Paribahan hit the CNG-run three-wheelers near Kakrail crossing, police said.

Three persons sustained injuries in the accident.

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured and sent them to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Duty doctor declared two of the injured dead, police added.

Another injured was receiving treatment at the hospital.

Local police seized the bus immediately after the accident.

But, its driver and helper managed to flee the scene.
