Bogra, Bangladesh (BBN)-Two more people were burnt alive and two others sustained injuries as miscreants hurled petrol bombs on a goods-laden truck in Bogra, a northern district of Bangladesh, early Thursday.
So far, 53 people were killed and several hundred including law enforcers were injured in mindless arson attacks during the non-stop blockade and frequent strike that began on January 5.
The BNP-led 20-party alliance has been enforcing the political agitation demanding a fresh election.
Thursday’s arson attack took place two days after eight passengers of a bus were burnt dead in another arson attack in Comilla, an east-central district of Bangladesh.
A number of miscreants widely believed as pickets hurled several petrol bombs on a number of vehicles including the truck around 4:45am, local police said.

Three more vehicles were also gutted in the petrol bomb attack that became a common phenomenon in the recent blockade and general strike.
Of the injured the condition of one is stated to be critical and he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
