Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Renowned journalist and media manager Sohel Manzur has joined VIVID Technologies Limited, a software company owned by the US-based Banglavision Inc., as its new Managing Director.
Prior to this latest assignment, Manzur, who had a long career in financial journalism, was the Managing Editor of New Age, a leading English-language newspaper.
After passing out from the Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University, he started his career as a business reporter of The Daily Star in 1991.
During his more than two decades of career, he served as the Chief Reporter and Deputy Managing Editor of The Financial Express, Managing Editor of the bdnews24.com, Managing Editor and Executive Editor of the Daily Sun and the Media Consultant of Swisscontact- Katalyst.
Manzur, a self-made expert in web technology, was the architect of several innovative web initiatives.
VIVID, which was established in 2008 as a subsidiary of Banglavision Inc., based in Dallas, Texas, has clients in both Bangladesh and US.
VIVID received the Best Outsouring Award from Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) for two consecutive years in 2014 and 2015.
VIVID offers software and applications in wide range of areas, such as accounting, HR and Payroll, academic automation, productivity monitoring etc.
