Kathmandu, Nepal (BBN)- At least 39 people were injured when a bomb went off inside a train in southern Nepal on Sunday, police said.
The explosion took place inside a train bound for Janakpur from Jayanagar in India on Sunday morning.
Police said it was a "cylinder bomb" - a kind of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED). No body has yet taken the responsibility for the incident, but police said investigation is underway to nab the guilty.
The Janakpur-Jayanagar railway is country's sole railway service. Hundreds of people from both sides of the border commute in the train daily and is often jam-packed, according to reports.
