Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw negative trend in early hour of trading on Sunday amid volatility, the opening trading day of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange, the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange, the port city bourse of the country, experienced downward trend.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declines 3.43 points, while the port city bourse Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) falls 12.45 points after 15 minutes of the day’s trading.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went down by 3.43 points or 0.08 per cent to stand at 4,367.06 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also fell 0.63 points or 0.06 per cent to reach at 1,059.07 points.
However, the DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 0.04 point to stand at 1,655.50 points.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 196 million when the report was filed at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 65 advanced, 53 declined and 34 issues remained unchanged.
Emerald Oil was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 35 million changing hands followed by Golden Harvest Agro Industries, Dragon Sweater and Spinning, Popular Life Insurance and Keya Cosmetics.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw negative trend with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– falling 12.45 points to stand at 8,169.66 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 23 gained, 15 declined 11 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 8.0 million.
