Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks saw mixed trend after witnessing two hours on Tuesday, the third trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the port city bourse of the country showed mixed trend with volatility at midday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 0.23 points, while the port city bourse, selective catagory index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) slipped 5.46 points around 12:30pm.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 0.23 points or 0.01 per cent to stand at 4,302.81 points, when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, lost 4.22points or 0.26 per cent to reach at 1,626.60 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also slumped 1.80 points or 0.17 per cent to reach at 1,043.17 points.
DSE turnover stands at only BDT 1.47 billion when the report was filed at 12:32pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 145 advanced, 73 declined and 73 issues remained unchanged.
Orion Infusion was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 90 million changing hands followed by, Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Aman Feed, Emerald Oil, Dragon Sweater and Keya Cosmetics.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend amid volatility with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– declining 5.46 points to stand at 8,052.31 points, also at 12:29pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 64 gained, 75 declined 52 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 91 million.
