Summer beauty hacks for working women

New Delhi, India (BBN)-It's that time of the year again when the scorching sun takes a toll on your skin and hair.
With these quick tips, you can prevent beauty woes that are common during this season, reports The Times of India.
With the temperatures rising, it is a task to look calm and cool when you step outside your home.
Beauty professional Jo Gaglani says, "For most working women who have to be on their feet and still look great, simple measures and homemade remedies will ensure that you keep the rising temperature at bay."
TAN REMOVAL
The safest way to avoid tanning is to stay clear of the sun. However, it is almost impossible to do so if you have to be outside your home.
So, make a thick paste of baking soda with water and apply on the areas that have been affected.
Keep it on for a few minutes and rinse it off with lukewarm water.
KEEP SWEAT OFF NAPE
To make sure that your nape doesn't sweat much, it is advisable to spray a deodorant on the back of your neck.
Excess sweating at the nape not only causes fungal infection but also affects your hair.
Apply a powder-based deo on your neck for about 10 minutes before you step out of the house.
SOAK EXCESS OIL FROM SCALP
Have you ever noticed that in spite of washing your hair with shampoo in the morning, by the end of the day, your hair becomes sticky?
This is because throughout the day, your scalp has been sweating and the oil makes your mane greasy.
To prevent the same, use a dry shampoo in the night right before you go off to bed.
It will spritz your roots and help absorb the oil.
TREATING SUNBURN
Dermatologist Dr Geeta Oberoi says, "One of the most common beauty blunders is the burning of skin due to heat, which in turn causes red rashes.
To prevent the same, make ice cubes using aloe vera gel and apply it on your face, neck and other affected areas at night. Aloe vera helps soothe skin irritation while the coolness from the ice will reduce the burning."
Also, using refrigerated chamomile tea bags on skin soothes irritation.
DEALING WITH PESKY FLYWAYS
To tame your frizz, spritiz your toothbrush with some hairspray and comb your hair evenly with it.
Do not comb too much, since it can lead to split ends. Make sure that you repeat this every night before retiring to bed.
