Bangladesh’s stocks continue positive trend at midday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh’s stocks continued its upward trend after witnessing early hour on Wednesday, the fourth trading session of the week.
Both the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the prime bourse of Bangladesh, and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), the port city bourse of the country, opened with a positive note when the market opened at 10:30am and hold the positive trend at midday.
The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) advanced 4.54 points while the port city bourse, selective category index of Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) earned 9.29 points around 12:30pm.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), went up by 4.54 points or 0.10 per cent to stand at 4,362.18 points, when the report was filed at 12:30pm.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 5.50 points or 0.33 per cent to reach at 1,667.89 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) also gained 0.35 points or 0.03 per cent to reach at 1,056.33 points.
DSE turnover stands at BDT 1.92 billion when the report was filed at 12:30pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 105 advanced, 135 declined and 57 issues remained unchanged.
MJL BD was the most traded stocks till then with shares BDT 246 million changing hands followed by ACI, United Power, Far East Knitting & Dyeing Industries Limited, IBN Sina and Doreen Power.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse – the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also saw positive trend till then with its Selective Category Index- CSCX– gaining 9.29 points to stand at 8,154.66 points, also at 12:25pm.
Of the issues traded till then, 58 gained, 96 declined and 35 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 134 million.
