Bhakta obtains PhD degree in Economics

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Nirmal Chandra Bhakta, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank (BB) has obtained PhD degree in Economics.
Professor Dr. M. Ismail Hossain, Department of Economics, Jahangirnagar University was his supervisor, according to the BB statement.
The field of his research was “Foreign Exchange Risk Management in Banking Sector of Bangladesh”.
Mr. Bhakta joined the central bank of Bangladesh as an Assistant Director in 1984.
He was born in 1958 at Sreerampur village under Chitalmari upazila of Bagerhat district. He is a son of Ashwini Kumar Bhakta and Shindhu Rani Bhakta. He prays the blessings of all.
