Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh’s stocks witnessed positive trend in early hour of trading on Wednesday, the fourth session of the week.
Maintaining the previous day’s upward trend, both bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw upbeat note in early trading.
After 15 minutes of trading, the key index of the country’s prime bourse advanced 8.24 points while the Selective Category Index of port city bourse rose 34.12 points when the report was filing at 10:45am.
DHAKA STOCK EXCHANGE:
DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, went up by 8.24 points or 0.15 per cent to stand at 5606.96 points, when the report was filed at 10:45am.
The two other indices also saw upward trend till then.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, advanced 0.66 points or 0.03 per cent to reach at 2035.18 points.
The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) rose 1.15 points or 0.08 per cent to stand at 1,309.86 points.
Turnover, the important indicator of the market, stands at BDT 1.10 million when the report was filed at 10:45 million.
Beximco dominated the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 71 million changing hands till then, closely followed by ACI Formulations BDT 66 million, RAK Ceramics BDT 60 million, RN Spinning BDT 48 million and Titas Gas BDT 45 million.
Of the issues traded till then, 134 advanced, 57 declined and 43 issues remained unchanged.
CHITTAGONG STOCK EXCHANGE:
The port city bourse CSE also saw upward note till then with its Selective Category Index - CSCX – gaining 34.12 points to stand at 10529.74 points, also at 10:45am.
Of the issues traded till then, 65 gained, 14 declined and 12 issues remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 42 million.
