Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Public Private Partnership (PPP) Office has identified 38 projects for implementation in areas of transportation, economic zone, health, housing, tourism and energy, officials said.
“Detailed feasibility studies (DFSs) on seven projects out of the 38 have already been completed and the studies on other projects are in progress,” a senior official close to the PPP Office said.
Of the seven projects, he also said, a contract was signed on construction of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway while a request for proposal (REP) was issued for establishment of a hi-tech park at Kaliakoir in Gazipur.
“We’ve invited requests for qualification (REQs), generally known as invitation of bids, for three projects – the 40-bed Hemodialysis Centre at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, a Hemodialysis Centre at the National Institute of Kidney Diseases and Urology (NIKDU) and the Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway,” the official noted.
The remaining two of the seven projects are the construction of a flyover from Santinagar to Mawa Road via the 4th Bridge to be constructed over the Buriganga River and two jetties at the Mongla Port, he added.
