Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited (DBBL) has awarded scholarship to 4,015 students as the fifth phase who passed S.S.C Examination in 2012. 
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, MP, was present as the chief guest and handed over the Scholarship Awarding Letters to the recipients at a ceremony held at Shahid Shohrawardi Indoor Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on Saturday.
The finance minister lauded the role of Dutch-Bangla Bank in the field of education by way of awarding scholarships to the needy students. 
He underscored the need of support and cooperation of all corporate bodies for the underprivileged students in the country. He thanked DBBL for the initiative to give scholarships to the meritorious and needy students for helping the spread of education.
While speaking on the occasion, Secretary, Bank and Financial Institutions Division, Ministry of Finance Md. Shafiqur Rahman Patwari appreciated Dutch-Bangla Bank Foundation for its generous initiative to build the future of the underprivileged students which would go a long to the development of the human resources of the country. 
Deputy Governor S. K. Sur Chowdhury, in his speech appreciated the scholarship program of DBBL and hoped that DBBL’s continuous support to the meritorious but needy students will eventually contribute to the human resources development of the country. He also congratulated the students who got DBBL’s Scholarship.
