Ambassador Thomas Shannon
Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Thomas A. Shannon will visit Dhaka and Colombo on November 5-7.
While in Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka November 5-6, Mr. Shannon will co-lead the U.S.-Bangladesh Partnership Dialogue and discuss regional issues, including the Rohingya crisis, with government and non-government officials.
He will then travel to Colombo, where he will participate in the U.S.-Sri Lanka Partnership Dialogue and meet with senior Sri Lankan government officials and members of civil society on November 7, according to a press statement, issued by the US embassy in Dhaka on Friday.
