6 killed in Bangladesh road crash

Mymensingh, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least six people were killed and two injured when a truck rammed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh district of Bangladesh Saturday morning.
The accident took place in Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh around 6:00am when a Tangail-bound goods-laden truck hit a Mymensingh-bound CNG-run auto-rickshaw, said Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Muktagachha Police Station.
One passenger of the auto-rickshaw died instantly while seven sustained severe injuries in the accident, the OC added.
The injured were whisked off to Muktagachha Upazila Health Complex where two of them died.
Later, the rest five injured were shifted to Mymensingh Medical College and Hospital where three of them died after admission, he said.
The rest two injured were undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police arrested trucker Nahid immediately after the accident and seized his vehicle also.
