Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least six people were killed in two separate incidents of road accidents in Bangladesh early Wednesday.
Three day labourers were killed in a road accident in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, while three more died in another accident in Sirajganj, a northern district of the country.
In Dhaka, three day labourers people were killed when a truck plunged into a roadside ditch in Nawabganj, an old part of the capital, around 2:30am.
The detail of the accident was not known immediately, only but that the deceased were travelling on the truck.
On information, police recovered the bodies and seized the truck.
The trucker and helper of the vehicle however managed to flee the scene immediately after the accident.
In Sirajganj, three more people were killed and three injured when a speedy truck rammed a three-wheeler on the Nagarbari-Hatikumrul road around 5:30am.
All the victims are from the three-wheelers, police said.
Police later recovered the bodies and sent those to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Police seized the truck, but its driver and helper managed to evade the clutches of the law.
A case was filed with Hatikumrul Highway Police Station in this connection.
