Gopalganj, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least seven people were killed and several injured in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Gopalganj, a central district of Bangladesh, Saturday morning.
The accident took place when a bus crashed into a microbus near Bhatipara area of Kashiani upazila in Gopalganj around 10:00am, local police said.
All the dead were the passengers of the microbus which was parked on the roadside, the police added.
The seven persons died on the spot immediately after the accident.
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the injured.
The injured were undergoing treatment at Kashiani Upazila Health Complex.
The police also retrieved the bodies from mangled microbus and sent those to local hospital for autopsy.
