Bandarban, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least seven people were killed and several injured when a truck lost control and overturned in Bandarban, a South-Eastern district of Bangladesh this morning.
The accident took place around 6:30 am when a goods-laden truck plunged into a roadside ditch near Yangcha area as the driver lost control over steering at Lama upazilla in Bandarban, the police said.
Immediately after the accident, police rushed to the spot and found four victims dead on the spot, local police said.
Of the injured, the condition of three was stated to be critical and succumbed to their injuries at Chokoria Thana Health Complex.
The driver of the truck said to have fled.
His helper, however, was said to have been detained.
