7 'robbers' beaten dead in Bangladesh

Narsingdi, Bangladesh (BBN)-A mob beat seven suspected robbers to death while they stormed into the house of a local in Narsingdi, a central district of Bangladesh, early Monday.
Another “robber” who also faced the wrath of the mob was undergoing treatment in Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, local police said.
Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately, police added.
A gang of robbers stormed into the house of a local at Bhatpara in Sadar upazila of Narsingdi around 2:00am, said police quoting local people.
After hearing the house owner’s scream, locals went to the scene and chased the robbers.
At one stage, they managed to catch eight of the robbers and beat them up, leaving seven dead on the spot.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to the hospital for autopsy.
