Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The government has set 7.3 percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth target for fiscal 2014-15.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith revealed the target while placing national budget for 2014-15 fiscal year in the Parliament Complex in Dhaka Thursday afternoon.

The minister pointed out that favorable weather and political stability besides accelerated growth in investment, export and remittance flows will help the government to meet the target.

“Based on these assumptions and expectations, we have set the GDP target at 7.3 percent for FY 2014-15,” Muhith said.

In the previous year, the GDP target was 7.2 percent.
