Bangladesh market fire kills 13

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least 13 people were burnt to death and four injured when a devastating fire swept through a market in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, Saturday.
The fire broke out around 5:20pm in a plastic factory housed at three-storey Nasim Plaza of Mirpur-1, Ziaur Rahman, a stuff of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters told the BBN.
So far, the firefighters recovered 13 charred bodies from the market, police said.
They also rescued four people who sustained severe burn injuries in the fire.
The injured were undergoing treatment at the burn unit of the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.
On information, fifteen units from different fire stations rushed to the scene and managed to bring the fire under control after a hectic effort of nearly two hours.
The reasons behind the fire could not be known immediately.
Some 62 workers including officials used to work at the factory in two shifts, sources said.
