Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– More than 90 per cent examinees have passed the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Primary School Certificate (PSC) examinations this year.

A total of 90.41 percent candidates passed this year’s Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations, showing a 0.47 per cent rise from previous year, according to reports.

A total of 156,235 students got GPA 5 this year.

Some 97.92 per cent students passed in the Primary School Certificate (PSC) while 95.98% passed in Ebtedayee examinations.  

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will formally announce the results at the Secretariat in the capital Dhaka at 11am on Monday. After the announcement, the results will be available at the educational institutes. The results can also be known through SMS and on the website of the education board.

A total of 20,90,692 students appeared in JSC , JDC examinations while nearly 3.1 million examinees appeared in PSC and Ebtedayee examinations.

The education ministry twice reshuffled the dates for two papers of JSC and JDC examinations because of the hartals enforced by Jamaat-e-Islami.
