New York (BBN)-Earth Day was first held in 1970 and is now celebrated in more than 192 countries every year.

Google has created an interactive doodle to celebrate Earth Day, reports IndiaToday.

The American search engine has devised one of its iconic moving illustrations to mark the annual global environmental protection event. The doodle features number of animals, all of whom wish the viewer a Happy Earth Day.

First up is the Rufous Hummingbird, which hungrily devours the sweet nectar inside a couple of blooming flowers.

Next up, a pair of dozing monkeys huddle together for warmth in a snowy landscape.

Also, a throbbing moon jellyfish, a dung beetle, rotating puffer fish and a veiled chameleon can be seen.
