Bangladesh’s stocks open negative

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) saw negative trend in early hours of trading on Wednesday.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE went down by 14.19 points or 0.31 per cent to stand at 4,552.84 points after first 30 minutes of trade when the report was filled at 11am.

DSE turnover stands at BDT 575 million when the report was filed at 11am. Of the issues traded till then, 82 advanced, 81 declined and 16 remained unchanged.

ACI Limited was the most traded stocks with shares worth BDT 120 million changing hands till then followed by Renata, GP, BSCCL and Meghna Petroleum.

The port city bourse – the CSE also saw negative trend at opening with its Selective Category Index --- CSCX lost 45.29 points to stand at 8,749.73 points, also at 11am.

Of the issues traded  till then, 18 gained, 53 declined and 7 remained unchanged with a turnover value of BDT 41.60 million.
