Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-World Health Organisation (WHO) has praised Bangladesh's remarkable success in medical services through community clinics.

The appreciation was made by Dr Margaret Chan, director general of WHO, informed Bangladesh’s Health Minister Mohammad Nasim.

Nasim is now in Geneva, the headquarters of WHO.  

The WHO chief appreciated Bangladesh government for its effective steps to set up community health clinics across the country for taking healthcare services to the doorsteps of people.

The Bangladesh health minister discussed various issues with the WHO DG at her office.

Nasim also sought cooperation to continue the Millennium Development Goals-5 (MDGs) successfully.

He also invited the WHO DG to join the Regional Conference of WHO (South Asian Health Minister's Conference) to be held in September in Dhaka.
