Govt borrows BDT 20bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government borrowed BDT 20 billion through issuing treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, officials said.

Total 44 bids of BDT 27.1480 billion for 182-Day T-bills and 32 bids of BDT 9.8970 billion for 364-Day T-bills were offered. Of those, 18 bids of BDT 10 billion for 182-Day T-bills and 23 bids of BDT 8.0190 billion for 364-Day T-bills were accepted.

Besides, BDT 1.9810 billion was devolved on Bangladesh Bank for 364-Day T-bills.

The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 7.42-7.60 percent and 7.64-7.90 percent respectively, according to the auction result.
