60 workers fall sick in CEPZ

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least 65 workers of a garment factory in Chittagong Export Processing Zone (CEPZ) fell sick on Saturday after drinking water supplied by the factory authorities.

About 60-65 workers of Peninsula Garment Factory complained stomach pain and started vomiting some time after drinking water from the factory in the morning, local police said.

Later, 20 workers were admitted to BEPZA Hospital in the EPZ area while the rest took first aid.

Conditions of all workers are now out of danger, the police official added.
