Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bank of Japan (BoJ) board member Atsushi Mizuno said the Central Bank may set preconditions for ending its policy of keeping interest rates near zero at 0.1 percent, according to reports.
The preconditions are expected to assure and boost investor confidence. The BoJ had previously outlined requirements for ending a policy of keeping rates near zero in 1999 and again in 2001 stating that rates wouldn’t advance until deflation worries ended.
