Educational institutions to remain close in Ramadan

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The educational institutes of the country will remain closed from the fisrt day of Ramadan.

The decision was taken during the informal discussion after the cabinet meeting held at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday, sources said.

An official announcement will come very soon in this regard, the sources added.

During the discussion Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid proposed for continuing the classes till Ramadan 10.

But Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina did not entertain his request.
