BSF kills Bangladeshi in Benapole

Jessore, Bangladesh (BBN)-Indian Border Security Force (BSF) beat a Bangladeshi cattle trader to death along Benapole frontier in Jessore Saturday morning.

The body of the unknown person aged around 35 was recovered from Charermath in Benapole Police Station around 10:30am, police said.

The border troops of India from Angrail camp chased off a group of Bangladeshi cattle traders and managed to catch one of them while they were returning to Bangladesh territory through the border with a consignment of cattle, locals said.

Later, the BSF members beat up the Bangladeshi cattle trader mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot, they added.

Being informed by locals, police and BGB recovered the body.

The BGB members however sent a protest letter to their Indian counterpart over the killing.
