Bangladesh’s maritime ports on alert

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-All the four maritime ports of Bangladesh have been asked to hoist local cautionary signal No three as a deep convection is taking place over north Bay and adjoining coastal area.

The maritime ports are: Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra.

Under the influence of the convection, squally weather may occur over north Bay, adjoining coastal area of Bangladesh and the maritime ports, said a special bulletin of Bangladesh Met Office.

All fishing boats and trawlers over north Bay have been advised to come close to the coast and proceed with caution till further notice, the bulletin added.
