Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - At least eight people sustained burn injuries in separate explosions in hairdresser salons in the capital Dhaka on Monday, police said.
Four people were burnt in an explosion at Nupur Hair Dresser at Rayer Bazar of Mohammadpur on Monday morning, a local police official said. But the official could not confirm what had caused the explosion.
Another four were injured in an explosion at a hairdresser salon at Natun Bazar of Bhatara area in Dhaka. An explosion from unknown source took place at Joy Hairdresser in the area around 6:00am, police said.
They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital’s burn and plastic surgery unit.
Six among eight were in critical condition, Partha Sanker Pal, burn unit residential surgeon, said.
