Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– At least eight people were killed and more than 50 others injured in separate road accidents in five districts of Bangladesh on Monday.

The districts are Habiganj, Mymensingh, Munshiganj, Moulvibazar and Sunamganj.
In Habiganj, two people were killed and two others injured when a covered van hit a human hauler on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Nasaratpur in Sadar upazila (sub-district).
 In Mymensingh, three people were killed and 25 others injured in three road accidents in the district.
 Police and witnesses said two buses coming from opposite direction collided with each other on the Mymensingh-Tangail highway near Rahmatpur on the outskirts of the district town in the early hours.
Besides, a woman was killed and 15 others were injured in a head-on collision between two buses on Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road at Kapalipara in Nandail upazila.
In Munshiganj, two people were killed when a bus knocked them down as they fell from a pick-up on the road on Dhaka-Mawa highway at Shashampur in Srinagar upazila.
In Moulvibazar, a man was killed and five people were injured when a bus hit a human hauler at Brahmanbazar in Kulaura upazila in the morning.
 At least 30 people were injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Sylhet-Sunamganj road at Lauai in Chhatak upazila of In Sunamganj district.
Of the injured, five were rushed to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital while the others received first aid.
