Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-At least three people including a woman were injured when miscreants set fire to four vehicles in Bangladesh during countrywide blockade Tuesday.
In another incident, miscreants set fire to an office of Muktijoddha Projonmo League, a pro-Awami League organisation, in Dhaka this morning.
Two vehicles including a private car were torched in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, early Tuesday while a bus and a truck were torched early Tuesday in Rajshahi, a northern city of Bangladesh.
The woman sustained burn injuries as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb in a bus in Rajshahi, media reports said.
Two more persons were also injured when they were trying to get off the vehicle in a hurry to escape the arson attack, police said.
Bangladesh has been facing non-stop blockade coupled with frequent strikes since January 5.
BNP-led 20-party alliances throw the political programmes demanding a fresh national election and protesting confinement of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia at her party’s Gulshan office.
Mrs Zia, also a former prime minister of the country, was virtually confined inside her Gulshan office since January 4.
