Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - After a three-day Eid-ul-Fitr vacation, all government and private offices, banks and financial institutions opened on Wednesday.
On the very first day of the reopening, presence in most of the offices in the capital, Dhaka was thin. Festive mood is prevailing at most of the offices.
Officials and employees are seen exchanging Eid greetings with their colleagues embracing each other, witnesses said.
However, heavy showers in the morning hours left low-lying city areas waterlogged causing much misery to the commuters.
