China-BD leather plant to invest over $ 21m in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-China-Bangladesh joint venture company M/s. Rich Time Enterprise Limited is going to set up leather and leather products industry in Mongla Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh.
This company will invest US$ 21.5 million for setting up the plant with annual production capacity of 5 million sq. ft. finished leather, two lacs pcs bags and one lac pair shoe.

The joint venture company will create employment opportunity for 3162 Bangladeshi nationals, an official statement said.

An agreement to this effect signed between Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and M/s. Rich Time Enterprise Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Thursday.
Sayed Nurul Islam, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA and Suzan, Managing Director of Rich Time Enterprise Limited inked the deal on behalf of their respective organizations, it added.
Major General Mohd. Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc, Executive Chairman, Shawkat Nabi, Secretary, AZM Azizur Rahman, General Manager (Investment Promotion),  Nazma Binte Alamgir, General Manager (Public Relations) and Nurul Haque, General Manager (Enterprise Service) of BEPZA were present at the signing ceremony.
