Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - At least 30 passengers including two children and a woman suffered burn injuries in petrol bomb attacks on vehicles in the country's Dhaka, Rajshahi and Bogra on Friday evening on the 17th day of BNP-led 20-party alliance’s countrywide blockade.
More than 22 passengers sustained burn injuries as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the Narayanganj-bound bus at Konapara of Demra in the capital Dhaka around 9:30 pm (local time).
The injured, in total of 24 people, were taken to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Mozammel Haque, in-charge of DMCH police camp, reportedly confirmed.
Identities of the victims were not known immediately.
Earlier 10 people suffered burn injuries in petrol bomb attacks on vehicles in Rajshahi and Bogra, according to reports.
The condition of the kids and a man was stated to be critical.
The attack came amid the BNP-led 20-party alliance’s countrywide nonstop blockade from January 6.
