Train rams pick-up van in Bangladesh, 3 killed

Gazipur, Bangladesh (BBN) - At least three persons were killed and six injured when a train rammed a pick-up van in Gazipur, a central city of Bangladesh, Thursday morning.

The accident took place around 10:30am when a train rammed a pick-up van stationed on the rail track in Vitipara area of Sreepur upazila in Gazipur, Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, confirmed the BBN.

The three persons died instantly, the OC said.
Of the injured, three received first aid and three others were sent to National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation for treatment, he added.
