South Africa keen to import skilled manpower from Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-South Africa has expressed its interest to import skilled manpower including mathematics and Information Technology (IT) specialists from Bangladesh.
South African High Commissioner to Bangladesh Geoffrey Quinton Doidge expressed his interest when he called on Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu at the latter's office in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, on Thursday.
"Already about one lakh skilled manpower are working in South Africa and both the countries would be benefitted by exporting Bangladeshi meritorious manpower to South Africa," said the South African High Commissioner.
During the meeting they discussed different aspects of bilateral issues.
The industries minister stressed the need for identifying potential areas for significant progress in the industrial sectors of the two countries.
Praising the economic progress of Bangladesh during the last two years, the South African High Commissioner said "Bangladesh could be a middle-income country by continuing its economic progress."
