Bangladesh issus Ebola alert

Last updated: August 11, 2014

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The Bangladesh government has issued a special alert at all airports, land ports and sea ports to check entry of Ebola virus into the country as World Health Organisation has declared a global emergency against the virus after its outbreak in several African countries.
As per the decision, medical teams will work at all the ports, officials said Sunday.
“We have formed an action committee led by health secretary Neazuddin to coordinate the steps taken for checking entry of any person infected with Ebola virus in the county,” health minister Mohammad Nasim told reporters in his office.
The measurers would continue for 90 days as per WHO standards, he said.
