Bangladesh Bank withdraws BDT 17.96bn from market Tuesday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Bangladesh Bank (BB) withdrew BDT 17.96 billion from the market through its 30-day bills and reverse REPO auctions on Tuesday, officils said.
One bid amounting to BDT 1.16 billion were offered for 30-day BB bills and the bid was accepted. The rate of weighted average yield of the accepted bid was 5.25 per cent.
On the other hand, five bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 16.80 billion were received and all the bids were accepted. The rate of interest of reverse REPo was 5.25 percent, according to the auction result.
