Tk 1.95cr looted from Brac Bank’s Joypurhat branch

Joypurhat, Bangladesh (BBN)-Robbers took away Tk 1.95 crore from the Joypurhat branch of Brac Bank, breaking open the backside wall of it anytime Friday night.

The staff of the bank at first spotted the broken wall of the building housed on the first floor of Shahjahan Plaza in the town of Joypurhat, a northern district of Bangladesh, sources said.
 Later, they informed police, sources added.
On information, police visited the spot and discovered that Tk1.95 crore was stolen.
After breaking the wall, the miscreants broke the vault, said Adbur Rashid Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station.
Primarily, it was estimated that the burglars looted around Tk 1.95 crore.
