Foreign minister meets with Burmese counterpart

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Foreign Minister Dipu Moni met with Burmese Foreign Minister U Nyan Win on Thursday on the sideline of the 17th ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting in Hanoi. 
“Both the foreign ministers exchanged their views in a very cordial and friendly manner,” a foreign ministry press statement said in Dhaka on Friday, adding that they talked about the forthcoming visit of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to Burma, officially known as Myanmar. 
Dipu Moni also invited her Burmese counterpart to visit to Bangladesh. 
 
She also mentioned about the joint commission meeting between the two countries to have a discussion on entire gamut of bilateral relations. The foreign minister emphasized on connectivity with Burma as well as solving maritime boundary and Rohingya issue. 
Burmese foreign minister recognized the issues and emphasized on bilateral resolutions, the announcement added.
