Govt borrows BDT 10bn issuing T-bills

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The government borrowed BDT 10 billion from the market through issuing its treasury bills (T-bills) on Sunday, officials said.
Total 40 bids of BDT 17.1178 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 37 bids of BDT 9.1452 billion for 182-Day T-bills were offered.
Of those, 17 bids of BDT 6.00 billion for 91-Day T-bills and 16 bids of BDT 4.00 billion for 182-Day T-bills were accepted.
The range of the implicit yield of the accepted bid was 7.25-7.36 percent and 7.55-7.70 percent, according to the auction result.
