Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The Bangladesh Bank (BB) injected BDT 43.70 billion though providing liquidity support to the banks on Wednesday, officials said.
Twenty nine primary dealer (PD) and non-PD banks of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 43.7076 billion were provided as Liquidity Support Facility. The rate of interest of the Liquidity Support Facility was 7.25 percent.
On the other hand, the central bank withdrew BDT2.95 billion using its reverse REPO auction on the same day, they added.
Two bids of 1-day tenor amounting total of BDT 2.95 billion were received and all the bids were accepted. The rate of interest of reverse REPO was 5.25 percent.
